Sunday Comix: concoctions.

The following are a list of goblin recipes for most any kitchen. The quantity of each ingredient has been left out purposely, so that you can fool around and make your own variations.

Peanut Butter Play-Dough
This one isnt entirely mine, but Im half-convinced that this method of making peanut butter play-dough is unique to my mothers style of cooking.
Ingredients: peanut butter, confectionary sugar.
Notes: Simple, easy to make, and fun.

Mudd
Ingredients: brown sugar, peanut butter.
Notes: Along the same lines as peanut butter play-dough, but more granular. From this base, other things can be added, such as bits of fruit, ice cream (a uddy sundae), water, nuts, chocolate syrup, gummy worms, etc.

Twinge
Ingredients: maraschino cherry juice, vinegar.
Notes: May induce twitching fits.

Glurm
Ingredients: coke, vinegar, lemon juice concentrate
Notes: Add a little granulated sugar for a fizzy foam that can last up to twenty minutes, depending on the mixture.

Plastix
Ingredients: combonations of melted Flavor-Ice popsicles
Notes: Although not really a mixture, I had lots of fun pretending that I had real test tubes and beakers in front of me, with mysterious contents, and had fun trying to avoid neutralizing the colours to brown.

Honeycombs
Ingredients: bread, honey.
Notes: Try toasting or microwaving for a short time for best results. Its best to saturate the bread but not leave a puddle of goo on the plate (hopefully you will use a plate).

Monkeybrains
Ingredients: strawberries, granulated sugar.
Notes: thaw the strawberries in the microwave, then heat them on high, checking them every so often to mash them up. Press a spoon down into the bowl to drain the juices until the strawberries are reasonably juice-free and hot. Add sugar and mix. Good finger food.

Kool-Aid Sculptures
Ingredients: tinfoil, kool-aid and/or Jell-O mix, water
Notes: Mix the kool-aid and water so you end up with a oozy consistency. Pour onto the center of the tinfoil sheet and mold the tinfoil into desired shapes. Place in the freezer and wait.

Shishkabob Monsters
Ingredients: toothpicks, assorted fruits/vegetables/meatbits.
Notes: Sure weve all done this one at some point, but given a little bit of encouragement, greater things can be done. Use toothpicks or paperclips or small metal rods as connectors to make the fruit or meatbits take on a life of their own, as centerpieces. If using fruits and toothpicks, it may help to bathe the toothpicks in lemon juice to keep them from going brown. Pit them against each other in the arena and eat the leftovers.

Gourmet Catsup
Ingredients: vinegar, tomato paste, spices, honey/sugar, salt.
Notes: Put ingredients into a shakable container and shake. Keep concoction in the shakable container because it will probably need to be reshaken before each use. This may be a hazardous material, I myself never thought the taste of catsup could be sooverpowering. Use sparingly because it may cause body temperature to raise temporarily into abnormal levels.
